Gluten free fish fry



1 cup of chickpea/garbanzo bean flour
1/4 cup of rice flour
1 egg
1 cup of water
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp Cayenne
1 tblspn Paprika
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 tsp garlic powder

Heat container of canola oil to 190 degrees.  I think I used some smarter balance oil that said it was healthier.

Mix dry ingredients,  mix egg, then mix together and add water.  Should be like a paste almost.

Dip the cod, shrimp (cleaned and peeled), and calamari (cleaned and cut).

Slowly drop into the oil in the pot.  The shrimp and calamari only take a few minutes.  Leave the cod in for about 7-8 minutes.

Remove and place on paper towel.  Sprinkle with parsley or cilantro.

Serve with Sriracha, Sriracha mayo,  or with tarter sauce (mayo, sweet relish, lemon, salt and pepper).
